I then reworked the size a little bit, initially it was 7.5 cm long, which is too long realistically. It needed to be as short as possible without compromising legibility as much as possible. I managed to reduce it to 5cm long, whilst keeping the smallest type to 6 point, which is still legible. The washing instructions are traditionally this small anyway and so to me, this is a working and functional design.
