After effects and DVD menue session.

Ok here is a summary of some of the things we learned in after effects today.

We learned briefly about hold frames, where you put a key frame in that holds a shape/object in a transformed state untill another key frame is added... this can be useful to make things appear and reappear rather than having to create the shape and remove the shape and recreate the shape and then remove it from the timeline again.



We then learned about 'easy ease' which helps create a realistic acceleration or deceleration of an object between key frames, below are some experiements with this. We were also showed the speed graph and how we can alter this to accentuate an acceleration or deceleration. On the second video below, I have altered the curve on the speed graph, it's interesting to note the effect this has on the animation.

As you can tell form the 'Pendulum' video, we were also taught to add in sound files, which is actually really simple and it's really easy to layer as well, this could be extremely useful in terms of adding both music and sections of speech/dialogue:
